Why does the app sometimes go back to application overview after closing a program?

Some of our supported programs are sending a short status notification back to VooMote after shutting them down. VooMote recognises this signal and automatically goes back to the application overview. However, not every program is sending this status notification. It depends from software producer to software producer. Undfortunately we have no influence on it.
